Tecnifibre Black 4S is a geometric monofilament polyester with a square finish. Like the original Black Code, Black 4S is produced using Thermocore Technology, a process that varies the temperature in steps during manufacture, enabling a softening of the matrix structure. According to Tecnifibre, the string provides greater flexibility for greater shock absorption and reduced vibration.
Tecnifibre explains that 4S stands for:
Spin - four sides as opposed to five.
Speed - 20 percent more power than Pro Redcode
Stability - Same voltage maintenance as Razor Code
Strength - 15 percent more durable than Black Code.
