The core of the racket is made of Babolat's X-EVA Technology. Three different layers of EVA together provide an innovative and perfect effect. The two stiff outer layers provide extra speed on hard hits while a softer inner layer provides increased margin of error and comfort on looser hits.
Babolat has long worked with different types of damping systems in the racket to minimize vibrations in the racket that can lead to injuries. With Vibrasorb System2, vibrations are reduced to the maximum to provide more feel, increased comfort and less impact on the hits. The more you feel the ball, the better you can control it.
The hitting surface is made of 100% carbon, 3K. The stiffer material provides maximum explosiveness and speed on the hits while the feel on the hits is superior to softer materials. All top models from Babolat are designed with HPS Technology, which means that the holes in the racket are strategically placed and adapted to the shape of the racket. The Viper Counter has a new coarse sandpaper surface that is extra rough and provides a perfect grip on the ball. This surface combined with the grooved 3D pattern on the surface provides maximum spin in the shots.
