Join the revolution with Head's latest premium padel racket, the Extreme One. It is truly a ground-breaking creation with a unique structure. This model is equipped with a state-of-the-art 12K carbon fiber hitting surface that is extremely strong and durable. It is actually the lightest and most robust padel racket in the entire Extreme series, and it combines power with a constant and precise feel. What really sets the Extreme One apart from the standard padel rackets is the fact that it only has a single hole in the face. Head aims to have a top class ONE model for every series in the future.
Padel racks with a solid hitting surface and fewer holes, like the Extreme One, have several advantages over the traditional drilled racks.
• Light and powerful: The unique design reduces the weight of the padel racket, allowing for faster acceleration and increased swing speed, while maintaining the stability normally found in heavier rackets.
• Increased durability: Holes in the hitting surface can weaken the material. Fewer holes mean that the surface is significantly stronger than the traditional drilling designs, which provides a more durable hitting surface with reduced risk of cracks and damage.
• Spin and consistent stroke: A smooth and unbroken surface provides better consistency in spin and stroke, improving ball control. Together with the Extreme Spin technology, this racket provides more efficient spin and increases the chances of making it difficult for your opponents.
• Aerodynamics: It is interesting that the absence of holes does not significantly increase air resistance during flat hits at different speeds.
EXTREME ONE - FAQ
What is the idea behind this padel racket?
Using the latest technology and materials from HEAD, the goal was to create the lightest and most powerful padel racket on the market, while retaining the playable feel of heavier rackets.
Why is there only one hole? Is it allowed?
According to the rules of the Padel International Federation (FIP), only one hole is required on this racket. Head could not have created a racket without holes under these rules.
Is this padel racket with only one hole heavier?
The Extreme One actually weighs only 345 grams, which is light compared to the average weight on the market and the lightest in Head's Extreme One series.
Why is it lighter than a drilled rack?
Although drilling the face reduces weight, a single hole allowed for a different design that reduced overall weight.
Does the absence of multiple holes affect aerodynamics?
The absence of multiple holes does not significantly affect air resistance. The aerodynamic performance of the racket depends more on the air angle and the speed of the stroke. The Extreme One has better flat hitting performance at all speeds compared to the racquet with a conventional multi-hole face. This has been proven by CFD simulations from our R&D department.
Why does this racket provide more consistent spin?
A racket with multiple holes provides a more varied hitting surface for the ball, while the Extreme One has a uniform, smooth surface with only one hole. This allows the ball to hit and spin more consistently. In addition, it makes it easier for the racket to generate faster swings, which increases spin speed, especially with the improved Extreme Spin technology.
How durable is the Extreme One compared to a traditional racket?
The hitting surface is twice as strong as on a traditional racket. Drilling the material and foam on the face of a traditional racket affects its structural properties and creates weaknesses. Fewer holes make the hitting surface of this racket more durable and resistant to damage.
Who is the target group?
The Extreme One is aimed at advanced and competitive players, regardless of gender, who are looking for a diamond-shaped power racket with additional benefits:
• Easy to play with, easy to maneuver and fast moving.
• Low risk of damage related to heavier racks.
• Generally more comfortable gameplay.
Is it a power or control rack?
The model has the classic diamond shape of the Extreme series, with higher balance, a 12K carbon fiber hitting surface and Power Foam. All Extreme Series racks are focused on power.
Is it difficult to manage?
Due to its balance and distribution of weight, it is actually very easy to handle, giving the player the ability to accelerate quickly and have a fast swing. The balance is the highest in the Extreme range, but it is subtle due to the lightweight construction.
Does it vibrate or sound different?
The materials and construction are of a high quality compared to Head's more conventional racks. It's compact with a solid feel and minimal vibration. Many have noted its unique sound, which somehow enhances the racket's powerful presence.
Why is the hole located near the neck of the racket?
This position is the least critical in terms of durability, sweet spot integrity, and overall strength.
Is it stiff or soft?
Despite a 12K carbon fiber face, which is generally stiffer, it's actually no stiffer than other racks in the Extreme series.
