The fast track with a nice feel in the new series from Head 2023.
Head's new Speed series builds on the popular Alpha series. As always, Head produces quality rackets in its factory in Austria, where it also produces its skis and tennis rackets. The result of this has been superior quality and an extremely low complaint rate.
The Speed Motion has a drop shape that provides good all-round properties and responds well in the offensive game, while providing good control further back in the lane. The racket has a hitting surface in carbon and glass fiber which, together with the Head's Power Foam core, gives the racket a nice response in the offensive shots. Since the surface, as I said, is made of a mix of carbon and glass fiber, this means that you also get a relatively forgiving ball hit with good comfort. The racket is suitable for those who want a well-balanced racket with both offensive and defensive properties, but who enjoy a slightly lighter racket.
The weight is around 360-365 grams and is the lightest in the Speed series. This makes the racket easier to swing and makes it easier to get the timing right. The racket, on the other hand, has a high balance, which contributes to a stable feeling in volley and overhead games.
Also new for this year is that Head has added rubber to the knob, which increases comfort in the grip and helps to absorb vibrations from the blows.
