The Blade 100 V9 features a sharper, more stable response that provides more feel with each stroke. The Blade 100 weighs slightly less than the Blade 98, resulting in a more maneuverable racket and slightly larger hitting surface than the Blade 98. With a new Emerald Night matte finish, the V9 features a braided graphite + basalt frame with a DirectConnect carbon fiber handle for improved torsional stability. It also has an open string pattern of 16/19, which offers a bit more speed and spin compared to an 18/20 string pattern.
